The ARG FLEX 2400 is a fully managed, high availability protection switch and distribution amplifier solution. SNMP and web server management functionality are included as standard making it the perfect fit for any network management scenario.
The ARG FLEX 2400 can be programmed to switch on loss of signal and pre-determined signal deterioration such as bit error rate, frame loss or loss of synchronization. A manual switchover is possible via a front panel key, and a switchover can also be forced by GPIs on the rear panel. Front panel LEDs indicate power supply health and channel status. An indication of the channel selected is given by a flashing LED. Alarm LEDs are latched and can be reset via a front panel switch or via a web server if fitted.
The web server option can fully control the switch from a remote location or can be used to create SNMP traps.
Modules are available for distribution amplification, protection switching and diverse routing, all available in varying formats including SDI, ASI and Telecom E3, DS3 and STM-1 interfaces.
The ARG FLEX 2400 is supplied with dual power supplies. In addition, relay by-pass cards provide complete protection against total power failure to the unit by carrying the signal from the input directly to the output.
The system is factory configured and tested to the user’s exact requirements. Numerous configurations and combinations of splitter and switch modules are available. Please see data sheet for details and down load the configuration guide.
