Inverse Multiplexers

The ARG Inverse Multiplexer permits cost effective robust transmission and reception of IP Data and Broadcast quality Audio and Video transmission on multiple E1 or T1 lines. The system provides up to 12 Mbit/s of usable broadcast bandwidth. Ideal for regional news studios, feeds to local transmitters and satellite back haul. For many years Broadcasters have had to order high bandwidth, high cost DS3 45Mbit/s or E3 34 Mbit/s circuits to transport just a single broadcast quality video channel. Now, with the ARG Inverse Multiplex, lower cost E1 and T1 circuits can be used for Broadcast quality transmissions. The ARG Inverse Multiplexer overcomes the bandwidth issues of T1 1.55Mbit/s and E1 2 Mbit/s circuits by seamlessly and robustly combining several circuits T1 1.55Mbit/s or 2Mbit/s together. Up to eight E1 or 8 T1 framed or unframed circuits can be added together to provide up to 12 Mbit/s of usable Broadcast bandwidth. For example, just two E1 lines to can now reliably deliver a broadcast quality News feed at MPEG4 4 Mbit/s. The robustness of the ARG Inverse Multiplex is demonstrated by it's ability to cope with an amazing 64mS of differential delay between T1 or E2 circuits and so the ARG Inverse Multiplexer can be used on any E2 or T1 circuit. The standard system includes one ASI and one IP user channels. Up to 8 network E1 or T1 ports may be used.
