This unit has been designed to provide the user with a cost effective means of interconnecting E1 G.703 / G.704 Telecom signals into a DVB ASI system.
The adapter produces a stream that is not an MPEG transport stream, the ASI stream cannot comply with the DVB standard, however insertion of simple fixed PAT and PMT tables ensures the adapter mimics a compliant stream which allows in service monitoring in the DVT network. This approach is used for the SI distribution stream and the dummy tables used in this stream are static, with the exception of the continuity counter.
