Protection Switch

The 2400 range incorporates a large scope for functional requirement diversity whilst protecting program integrity. There are currently modules for Distribution Amplification, Protection Switching and Diverse Routing; these are all available on varying formats including SDI, ASI and G.703.

Although all 2400 units are supplied with dual power supplies there is an ancillary option module available for both protection switches and DAs that safeguards the unit from a complete power fail situation. Relay bypass cards provide complete protection against total power failure of the unit by carrying the signal from the input directly to the output; totally bypassing the unit in the unlikely event of power failure. Having room to carefully choose and select between numerous configurations and combinations of modules is a terrific benefit of the 2400. It allows the user to build a flexible unit into their network with minimal effort, total ease and minimal cost.
